NEW ARTISTS  Season 2019/2020:
Soprano Jacqueline Bruce, Countertenor Zvi Emanuel-Marial, Tenor Henning Jendritza, Bass-Baritone Ricardo Llamas Márquez and Bass Marcel Raschke.

RICARDO LLAMAS MÁRQUEZ celebrates his debut at the Stuttgart State Opera in „BORIS“ with the role of Nikititsch. In BORIS, Sergej Newski’s new composition intertwines with Mussorgski’s opera from 1869.

SOPHIE KLUSSMANN sings on March 14 and 15, 2020 with the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Kahchun Wong. The program includes Robert Schumann / Gustav Mahler Symphony No. 4 in D minor, Op. 120 and Gustav Mahler Symphony No. 4 in G major.

CHRISTIAN FRANZ sings Siegfried in Richard Wagner’s „Götterdämmerung“ in a new production at Biwako Hall (Japan) on Saturday, March 7, 2020. Due to the current situation, the performances will take place without an audience and will be recorded on DVD.

ROMAN POBOINYI sings the role of Nika Magadoff in Gian Carlo Menotti’s opera “The Consul”, which was premiered in 1950.

ZVI EMANUEL-MARIAL takes part in the Handel Festival in Göttingen: On March 13, 2020, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the festival, he will perform in the project „Handel’s Improvisation: Giulio Cesare“.

FLORIAN SPIESS would have had his second premiere this season at Teatro alla Scala with “Salome” (soldier) on Sunday, March 8, 2020. Due to the critical situation in Milan, all performances have now been canceled up to and including March 8, 2020. We keep our fingers crossed that all participating artists remain in good health! We hope to be able to provide further information regarding the entire Salome production (possibly a new date for the premiere) during the week!

For Florian Spiess there is still planned the premiere of “Tannhäuser” (Biterolf) in April 2020.


PAVEL BALEFF conducts the Noord Nederlands Orkest (NNO) on March 11, 12 and 14, 2020 with works by Chopin and Beethoven. The soloist is the pianist Nino Gvetadze. This concert tour is part of the 250-year-old Beethoven concert series.
