ERNST THEIS

We would like to draw your attention to the recently released new CD produced by Ernst Theis at Bavarian Radio Station with the Munich Radio Orchestra. The production deals with early film music, partly from the difficult time of National Socialism. Ernst Theis has been dealing with this topic for quite some time and how he can keep the memory of this time alive in the context of his artistic work in a suitable, unadorned, differentiated way and with a focus on the music.

JOSEFINE GÖHMANN

RÉBELLES!

„réBelles! portraits lyriques“ is an album by Josefine Göhmann in partnership with the German pianist Mario Häring. The album presents female archetypes – Vierge, Sirène, Héroïne, Ophélie – like exhibition rooms of a museum, containing songs instead of paintings, in which visual art resonates and the question of female self-determination “today” re-emerges after some 100 years of the women’s rights movement.

In the 2022 yearbook of the „Opernwelt“ magazine, Josefine Göhmann and her musical CD „réBelles! portraits lyriques“ were nominated for the Media Release of the Year Award (Arno Lücker).

This co-production with Deutschlandradio/DLF and Solo Musica has received a great deal of positive feedback from the European trade press (including Opernwelt, Diapason, Pizzicato, Das Opernglas, Opera Online, Orpheus, France Musique, ORF/Ö1, NDR Kultur).
